When she decided to pursue <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/posts\/smilescholar-ugcPost-7477201747900416000-KIv_\/?utm_source=social_share_send&amp;utm_medium=member_desktop_web&amp;rcm=ACoAAC5evssB-CzXX8WTwACOEZZ4RFtymRGUt_s\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Computer Science Engineering<\/a>, the financial path ahead was uncertain, but her family&#8217;s encouragement and her perseverance helped her move closer to her aspirations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Girls like Ishika inspire many others. More importantly, they demonstrate <a href=\"https:\/\/www.smilefoundationindia.org\/blog\/stem-education-rural-india-doesnt-lack-talent-it-lacks-access\/\">how access to quality STEM education in India<\/a>, can nurture talent from an early age and enable young people to pursue opportunities that once seemed beyond reach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As India advances towards an era defined by <strong>artificial intelligence, space technology, advanced manufacturing and digital innovation, <\/strong>children from rural and marginalised communities must receive the same opportunities to learn, explore and innovate. STEM skills enable young people to address complex development challenges ranging from climate change and food security to healthcare, energy sustainability and digital transformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>High STEM literacy also strengthens a nation&#8217;s ability to develop indigenous technologies, reduce dependence on imports, encourage innovation-led entrepreneurship and attract global investment. Together, these outcomes contribute to economic growth, job creation and long-term national competitiveness. It is therefore easy to see why strengthening this branch of science will be central to shaping the country&#8217;s future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These competencies enable students to<strong> analyse, evaluate and apply knowledge to solve real-world challenges,<\/strong> preparing them for meaningful careers in an increasingly technology-driven economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today, demand for STEM professionals continues to grow across sectors.
