Grassroots NGOs in India have been doing remarkable work in various fields of social development. Unfortunately, many of these initiatives are unable to sustain themselves due to lack of resources. Smile Foundation extends support to its partner NGOs by helping them undertake “local actions” or fundraising activities involving the civil society for generating resources to enhance their impact. Since 2010, as many as 200 local actions have been conducted by partner NGOs of Smile Foundation.
Harley Davidson, the global luxury two-wheeler brand, became the Associate Sponsor for Smile Foundation’s Ramp for Champs event.
Smile Foundation organised ‘Be the Change’ Walkathon 2011, a fundraising event which was a huge success.
Hindustan Unilever Limited partnered with Smile Foundation for a consumer promotion campaign in 2011,in association with Tata Star Bazaar stores to promote the cause of education of underprivileged children.
Zee TV, a national TV network, launched a daily soap Chhoti Si Zindagi in 2011, based on the plight of underprivileged children, and became associated with Smile Foundation to sponsor the education of 100 children.
Leading companies BNY Mellon, Coca Cola, Infosys and Panasonic came aboard to contribute during the Joy of Giving week in the first week of October, 2012.
Smile Foundation collaborated with Helping Hands Society, run by a group of students from Aligarh Muslim University to organise a week-long fund raising campaign, IBADAT to raise resources towards education and healthcare of underprivileged children.
Kansai Nerolac Paints Limited launched a campaign in 2013 to support the primary healthcare of 5000 children and cost towards critical ailment/surgery of 50 children from Smile Foundation projects across India.
Opera Software launched a campaign Smile with Opera Mini along with Smile Foundation in 2013 to support basic education of 1000 underprivileged children for a year.
Employee engagement activities were organised in Secon India Pvt. Ltd., Aditi Technology, GE India and KLM Royal Dutch airline where they volunteered in the education projects of Smile Foundation.
