Partnership with Arcelor Mittal

A partnership between Smile Foundation and the steel giant Arcelor Mittal has been established. This partnership has been signed for the launch and implementation of a mobile hospital unit in the Keonjhar district of Odisha. Arcelor Mittal has one of its many production units in Keonjhar. This mobile hospital unit will be covering the entire population of the areas surrounding the location of this production unit. This is an initiative of the steel giant to promote a health seeking behaviour among the people residing there.

Child Rights Award’10

The Asia Pacific Child Rights Award that Smile Foundation has been presented with was facilitated by the Alliances team of Smile Foundation. This award ceremony took place in Tokyo during the ABU General Assembly. The award has been given to Smile Foundation for its outstanding advocacy through mass media. This year the awards received dozens of entries from many countries in the region including Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Lao PDR, Korea, Malaysia and Thailand.

Coalition with Times o f Money

Smile Foundation has also entered a partnership with TimesofMoney, India’s leading digital payment service provider. TimesofMoney comes from the prestigious Times Group, India’s largest media and entertainment conglomerate. This partnership has been signed for improving the health service delivery system in the rural areas skirting Delhi. This agreement will be implemented under Times of Money’s “Grow India” initiative.

FIS joins hands
with Smile

FIS has joined hands under the payroll giving programme of Smile Foundation. Under this partnership FIS employees will share a part of their monthly salaries that in turn will be matched by the organization. This amount will then be sent to Smile Foundation every month to support its Smile Twin E-Learning Programme (STeP) – a programme that trains underprivileged adolescents in employable skills. It has been named the number one overall financial technology provider in the world. The beginning of this partnership was marked by a Smile Day, an interactive session between the FIS Global and Smile Foundation teams across 5 locations in India – Mumbai, Gurgaon, Chandigarh, Bangalore and Chennai.

HOSMAC Foundation Gives through Payroll

HOSMAC Foundation is the CSR venture of HOSMAC India Pvt. Ltd. The Foundation overtly focuses on improving the healthcare delivery system by making pertinent contributions in the domain of capacity building, knowledge sharing and community empowerment. They have joined hands with Smile Foundation for a Payroll Giving Programme. This amount will directly be used by Smile Foundation for its Mission Education programme that focuses on the basic education of underprivileged children. HOSMAC India Pvt. Ltd. is a hospital planning and management consulting firm. They are one of the leaders in hospital management consulting in entire Asia.

Core Projects and Technologies to run for Smile

Core Projects and Technologies Ltd. has associated with Smile Foundation for the Mumbai Half Marathon 2011 to be held in the month of January. They will be running for Smile Foundation to promote the cause of education and health of underprivileged children and youth. Their participation will be in the Corporate Challenge Team of the marathon. Core Projects and Technologies Ltd. is India’s largest global education company.
