Canara Bank health camp series

Canara Bank has been one of the leading supporters in the form of organising series of child focused health camps with Smile Foundation.

After Mumbai and Bangalore, it was the turn of Kolkata.  A health camp for 125 children from one of SMILE projects in Kolkata, ‘Schools of the World’, was organized.

The health camp started off with an inauguration ceremony followed by general health check-up of 125 children along with their blood-grouping test.

Smile Foundation recognizes the fact that more and more institutions are becoming committed not only to spread literacy across the land but also to provide affordable health facilities to the needy.  

One year of successful partnership with PFI 

Population Foundation of India [PFI] is one of the oldest and acclaimed organisations working in the health sector.

PFI formed a partnership with Smile Foundation a year back, bringing along valuable expertise and support. PFI has been supporting Swabhiman, Smile Foundation’s health and empowerment programme for girl child, in Delhi communities covering a population of 80000. 

Within the first year of the joint and revamped endeavour, a three tier cadre of 150 community leaders are operating across 15 deserving localities of the Capital City.

After the success and learning from Delhi, Smile Foundation has already introduced Swabhiman in rural Haryana targeting a population of 60000.

Smile Foundation thanks PFI for playing the role of a prefect partner by extending valuable guidance and support.  

Tata Pipes in Support of Street Kids

Tata Parivaar Southern Pipers, a group of Tata Pipes dealers in the southern region has joined hands with Smile Foundation in its ‘Mission Education’ programme. The company will support basic education projects for street children under the national programme of ‘Mission Education’.

The organisation made a contribution of Rs. 3,00,000/- towards the programme to start with. The association materialised at Bosco Mane, Bangalore where Smile children displayed their talent by presenting a comical skit and a glorifying group dance.

Mr. Arumugam, CEO, Sicagen India Ltd briefly described about Tata Parivaar followed by the handing over of the cheque to Ms. Indrani Roy, National Director [RD], Smile Foundation by Mr. Sukumar Srinivas, MD, Shankara Pipes India Ltd.. Also present was Mr. Mukundan, Director of Megh Steels Pvt Ltd.
