Almost 7,000 ran for safer and cleaner Noida Noida: India’s largest industrial township- Noida hosted a Run for the city today organised at Ramleela Ground, Noida Stadium based at Sector 21A. Supertech and Network18 presented Noida10K - A Run for a clean, green and safe Noida. Run for a strong Noida. Run for a healthy Noida. Bollywood actors also marked their presence and flagged off the event. This is an initiative by Network 18 and Supertech to give back to a city like Noida, which has the potential to become one of the best cities in India to live in. About 1000 plus less privileged people also participated in the program with great enthusiasm by the efforts of AROH Foundation. Bollywood actor Tusshar Kapoor was present at the venue to cheer up the crowd. Tusshar was accompanied by model-actress Gauhar Khan from the B-Town. The event was a huge success with almost 7000
people participating in the five race categories - Elite 10 K, Open
10k, Open 10k (without Chip), Corporate Run and Fun Run. Around
77 Male National Runners and 20 Female National Runners, winners
of prestigious Marathons & 10k have joined this noble cause.
The Elite 10K Women category was won by Jhuma Khatun, while the
men’s title was taken by Soji Mathew in the same sub category.
Jhuma and Soji clocked timing of 36:32:34 & 30:23:65 respectively
to win the coveted titles. Speaking about Noida10K, Mr. Anil Uniyal, CEO, CNBC-TV18 & CNBC AWAAZ stated, “Noida10k is a special initiative created to support and pay tribute to the flourishing city of Noida. We are overwhelmed with the response that we received from professional runners from across India and most importantly the residents of Noida.
