Disability a part of Human Diversity:
Taking over immobility with a Smile

Smile Foundation believes and recognizes disability as a part of human diversity rather than as a medical problem. Recognizing the winning spirit of the differently abled Smile Foundation selected a needy section of such people in Uttar Pradesh and sponsored scooties for them with an aim not only to excel and set and example for their peers but also in the society as a whole.

Smile Foundation distributed scooties (modified scooters) to the differently abled in Kanpur, the industrial city of Uttar Pradesh, on 24th September. Minister of State for Home Affairs, Government of India, Shri Sriprakash Jaiswal presided over the function and handed over keys to the selected beneficiaries.

“Smile Foundation is working as a Catalyst for the society and is inspiring us to organise such interventions, said Shri Sriprakash Jaiswal. “Smile Foundation is doing a very noble work. I wish them luck and may the organization get success,” added the Minister appreciating Smile’s various initiatives.

Dr. Ramesh Jha, renowned doctor, was the special guest for the occasion. Shri. Mahesh Valmiki, former Member of the Legislative Assembly, Shri Ganesh, Shri Madan, Shri Ramgopal and Shri Kuljeet were among the other distinguished guests on the occasion.
