Smile Foundation and Jain Conference-Women Wing, District Bhilwara, Rajasthan, organized a free medical and health check-up camp in Shahpura village of the District. The nine-day camp was held between September 12 and 20, 2005.

The Mobile Surgical Unit of the Government of Rajasthan was also a vital partner in the camp. A team from the Unit had joined the camp, equipped with various services and facilities like blood bank, sonography, medicines, X-rays and pathology.

A total of 4562 patients from about 80 remote villages were treated and provided with free medicines, out of which 465 patients were admitted for free operations. Free food as well as an accompanying attendant for each patient was also made available.
