HSBC
has come a step forward under its special CSR
initiative to join hands with Smile Foundation.
As part of its committment for social development,
HSBC has become a partner in one of Smile Foundation
projects implemented in across the slums of East

HSBC and Smile Foundation join hands
to rejoice their CSR event with the street children
to sensitize them.
This event was an attempt by HSBC,
Barakhamba to sensitize their employees about the Rag
picking and street children. These 20 children from
Seemapuri and Sundarnagari areas are from 6-14 years
of age group. The endeavor to organize such event is
to create awareness among the children and make them
feel part of the mainstream society through their participation.
Making them realize they too can contribute and make
a difference in the society.
The event gave an opportunity to Smile’s
children to spend a day with HSBC family. Various amusing
activities like drawing competition, informal interaction,
etc. were organized followed by the prize Distribution
ceremony by HSBC.
This was an initiative of HSBC and
Smile foundation to mainstream street children to normal
life and spread smile on their faces.
