Smile Foundation, in
association with VLCC, organized a workshop on Beauty and
Health Management on 6th May, 2011 conducted by Silky, Anita
and Pamela, professional trainers at VLCC. The workshop was
exclusively organized for the Project Coordinators, Community
Health Educators and students under the Shinnyo-Smile Scholarship
Programme. The workshop created awareness about personal grooming
and provided tips to stay healthy.
The workshop made the
participants acquainted about the fact that beautician and
health management are emerging as new career options in the
current scenario. The presenters talked about the significance
of diet & nutrition to avoid dangerous diseases. They
also informed the participants about VLCC’s internship
programs and diploma courses. The presenters also emphasized
on the importance of using herbal and Ayurvedic products to
minimize the use of chemicals on the skin.
