Tech Mahindra Foundation joined hands with Smile Foundation to empower underprivileged youth through the livelihood programme Smile Twin e-Learning Programme (STeP).

Since January 2009, the Foundation is supporting two STeP centres namely Jan Shikshan Sansthan, Mumbai and Investment In Man Trust (IIMT), Pune and thus creating a difference in the lives of at least 160 adolescents every year. The youth in the centres are not only given livelihood training, but are also ensured an employment soon after completion of the STeP course.  

The 3 months STeP course provided to the students at the centres focuses on retail management. About 40 students are enrolled in every batch and as of now more than 80 per cent of the students pass outs have already been placed in leading companies.
