Smile celebrates Teacher's Day with songs
and dance performances (September 5, 2010, Sambalpur)
Celebrations
on September 5th have over the years become a tradition in India
when disciples pay tribute to their Gurus or Teachers.
And the tradition was
very well followed by the Sambalpur centre of Smile Foundation in
Orissa. The students presented bouquets to the project teachers
and enchanted vedic mantras in their respect. This was followed
by a Sambalpuri dance performance by the students. An antakshari
competition was also organized and all the people, teachers and
the students alike, enjoyed participating and competing against
each other.
The
Rotary Club of Sambalpur also felicitated Smile Foundation for its
good work and gave certificates of appreciation and flower bouquets
to all the project teachers to honour them on the occasion of Teacher’s
Day.
