On the International Day of the Girl Child, Smile Foundation in support with ArcelorMittal launched Smile on Wheels in Kolkata, focusing majorly on girls and women. The mobile hospital will cover the needy population in South Kolkata and Ultadanga areas. Sabuj Sangha is the implementing partner of the project.

Mr. Subir Khasnobis, CEO, ArcelorMittal Design and Engineering Centre handed over the key to Mr. H. N. Sahay, Director Operations, Smile Foundation to announce the project commenced.

This project envisages providing primary healthcare needs of the population with main focus on improving maternal and child health care and combating the widely prevalent diseases in the community. This project also aims to create good health seeking behavior & practices among the dwellers.
