The Founders

The founder of Praramva Social Welfare Organisation is Shamik Sengupta who is associated with the organization as Director Programmes. Shamik holds a diploma in social work and is pursuing Masters in Bachelor Administration. Last 8 years working with Praramva as a Programme of Director. His interest areas lie in working for the development of deprived children from the underprivileged community.

About the organisation

Praramva Social Welfare Organisation’s mainly works with the underprivileged children, adolence youth,those who are belong in a very vulnerable situations in their surroundings like platform children,redlight area,various slums etc.
Aims/Objectives:
Praramva’s main objectives is to provide education, social sensatisation, leadership and awareness opportunities to the children from the underprivileged community. It also provides and vocational training to youth in order to empower them.

Praramva also established a community based organisation called Pratyasha, which works mainly with the underprivileged youth, where they identify their problems and plan how to overcome them. This is an innovative way in which a sustainable programmes is run with their own initiatives.

Association with Smile Foundation

Praramva Social Welfare Organisation in association with Smile Foundation runs the Smile Twin e-Learning Programme to provide professional skills in the areas of computer literacy and spoken English to the underprivileged youth in the target communities of Kolkata in West Bengal.
