Smile Foundation genuinely believes in supporting grassroots organizations working for the betterment of the people and the society as a whole. Therefore, Smile’s motive towards modestly supporting the endeavour of Hiradhar Yubak Sangha (HYS), Orissa working towards the education of poor children for whom it is a luxury is just another step towards that goal.

About Project

The project provides educational support to 300 students (class VIII-X) both boys and girls in the Chandimal village, about 75 kilometers from Sambalpur town, including those coming from far-flung villages in Rourkela, Deorgarh, Sundergarh and Sambalpur areas also.

The school existing on a sprawling 3 acre of land donated by the Secretary of the Club does not provide any residential facilities; in stead the shelter is provided by the village folks as a part of the unique model followed by the organization. The school is managed by the local club and the teachers volunteer to teach in the school with a missionary zeal and an urge towards social goodness.

This dedication and committed attitude of the Club, towards doing good for the society with the help of the villagers has seen their effort being rewarded and it is thus no wonder that the school is acknowledged to be among the best in the State in terms of academic records.
