Sarthak Janavikas Sansthan has been working in Ambikapur, Chattisgarh,
for education and community development. The organization has
also been working on child rights, women empowerment, small saving
habitation, formation of self-help groups, with the primary objective
of the development of the society at large. The operational areas
of the organization are in remote villages namely Kusu, Jamgawa,
Goriapippal, Pratappur and Dhanaura which come under Lakhanpur
block in Abikapur district of Chattisgarh.
The organization has further plans to expand its development initiatives
in Badadamali, Payajjam, Nandhamali villages in the field of health
and education for underprivileged children with the support of
Smile Foundation.
About the project
The primary objective of this
project is to enroll all the out-of-school children into formal
schools and provide required support that enables them to study
at least till the matriculation level. The project also counsels
the parents about the importance and benefits of education and motivates
them to send their children to school regularly. Along with this
the project also promotes healthy living among the families through
health awareness and medical camps.
The project plans to set up a pre-school learning centre for the
young ones and support classes for children who require remedial
education.
