Health Camp at Bhilwada (Rajasthan)
A mega health camp was organized by All India Swetamber Resident
Jain Conference (Women Wing), Ajmer Division at Bhilwada in
Rajasthan State during 26 January-02 February, 2006 with financial
support from the Smile Foundation, Mumbai; followed by General
Check-up of Women and free medicine distribution on 15 February,
2006. The camp was held at Arihant Hospital, Bhilwada. The
camp was inaugurated by the City Mayor.
The health camp focused on Gynecological
problems of women and also provided for surgical operations.
Medical services for gynecological problems faced by women
such as white discharge, excessive bleeding and menstrual
problems, cleaning of uterus and associated problems, sterilization,
infertility etc. was provided during the camp.
Medical services were provided by a team
of 22 specialist doctors headed by Dr. Hansmukh N. Agarwal
from Resham Bai Fertility Hospital, Ahmedabad.
A total number of 485 women were examined
out of which 110 women were admitted for surgery. 70 women
were operated successfully using Laparoscopy. All women (patients)
were also given medicines for one month. Both the patients
(women) and their attendants were provided with boarding and
lodging facilities free of cost besides the medical/surgical
services.
The camp was followed by a General check-up
of women and free distribution of medicines on 15 February,
2006 at the same hospital with financial support from the
Smile Foundation, Mumbai. This was arranged with medium of
local daily Rajasthan Patrika and inaugurated by the District
collector, Mr. Ajitabh Sharma, IAS. |
