Laying foundation with the Power of Education
Matching of ideologies has brought Smile Foundation and Om Foundation together for a common cause – transforming the society through the power of education. The Partner OM Foundation, initiated in 2002 as a registered charitable trust, is engaged in providing quality education and healthcare services to children belonging to marginalized section of society through its initiative ‘Om Memorial School’. The Project Located in village Hoshiarpur of Noida, UP, ‘Om Memorial School,’ provides holistic education to poor and needy children from the villages. The project aims to accomplish its objectives through following activities: (a) Provision of free quality education on par with premier schools till class 5th. (b) Mainstreaming the children into formal system of education after class 5th. (c) Monitoring of progress of each child on an individual basis. (d) Participation of children in recreational activities like Music, Art, Dance, Yoga etc. (e) Access to free library facility for all children. (f) Regular monthly immunization and health check-up camps. (g) Special weekly instructional class on etiquette and social skills. (h) Provision of mid-day meals for all the children. The initiatives like these provide the best alternative to bridge the gap between the rich and poor.
