The Founders
S. M. Pandey is the founding member of the NPSS. He is an M.A. (Political Science) and M.A. (English Literature)He has initiated and completed more than 50 welfare projects successfully thereby benefiting more than 15 Lac people in association with different government and international agencies like UNICEF, The Brooke, UK, World Bank etc. The vision behind establishing the organisation is to promote socio economic development of the marganilised communities in the society. About the organisation New Public School Samiti (NPSS) as a non-profitable
and non-political organisation established in the year 1981 at Lucknow
(UP). The organisation has been working for over two decades in rural
and urban areas for all round development of people focusing on issues
like literacy, women empowerment, micro-credit promotion, providing
vocational skills, agriculture development, reproductive and child health
, water,sanitation and disaster management . The organisation is operational
in nine districts of Uttar Pradesh and one district of Uttarakhand.
NPSS has been awarded 'State Literacy Award’ in 2008 by Govt.
of Uttar Pradesh for its outstanding contribution in the field of Literacy. Association with Smile Foundation

Rajeev Kumar, 23 is a resident of Hardoi(UP).He could not continue his studies after 12th class due to financial constraints in the family. He was not able to find a good job because of lack of knowledge of computers. It was at this point that he got to know about the Smile Twin e-Learning Programme. After completing the course, he got placed with Life Insurance Corporation of India, Hardoi. Today he feels happy for being able to support his family financially. |
NPSS in association with Smile Foundation
is running Smile Twin e-Learning Programme which aims to provide professional
skills to the underprivileged youth for increasing the employability
opportunities of the underprivileged in the target communities of Lucknow.
