Four Dutch organisations - Wilde Gazen, International
Child Support, Net4Kids & Kids Right met their counterparts
from the Southern hemisphere including Smile Foundation (India),
Cese (Brazil) & Soul City (South Africa) at Brazil to develop
strategies for next 5 years.
Mission Education
A teachers’ orientation programme was organised
for the partners in Orissa, Mumbai and Delhi. The 2 days programme
focused on the mental and physical education along with the role
of teachers in the present society. Sabuj Sangha and IPER from Kolkata
and Aarohan in New Delhi are new implementing partners under the
Mission Education programme.
Child For Child Programme
The Child for Child (CFC) team has tied up with
the pre-school - 'kidzee' to conduct advocacy programme in all their
schools in South India. The CFC team also conducted sessions at
various other schools across the country to bridge the gap between
the children of privileged and underprivileged society in the country.
Smile Twin e-Learning Programme
Salient Business Solutions, a leading BPO designed
and presented a curriculum called “BPO Parichay” for
students being trained under the STeP programme. This will help
in providing specialised training and improve the prospects of placement
of students in BPO sector. Tata Teleservices has provided internet
connection in 33 centres which will help the students become more
employment ready. |
