 Dear
Friends I am happy to inform you all that Smile has moved further
ahead in its efforts towards promoting and catalyzing universal
education among underprivileged children and youth. While our programmes
are strengthening in terms of a spreading network and increasing
number of beneficiaries, we are simultaneously trying to incorporate
innovation in them so as to offer contemporary and paramount services.
In addition, we have also put in great efforts in making aware the
civil society and involving them in our mission. Starting from people
from India’s film and television fraternity to the college
youth; from corporate biggies to school children; we have tried
reaching out to one and all to spread the word of ‘Be the
Change’.
As an added feather, we have
become one of the members in the panel that is preparing the approach
paper for the Planning Commission’s groundwork of the 12th
Five Year Plan. We have also become a part of the Together4Change
Alliance, a body effective across 100 countries that aims to work
for the well-being of children and youth in alignment with the Millennium
Development Goals, thus effecting civic driven change.
The milestones achieved do
not end with only these; there are many more that you can read in
the pages inside. We have put everything together for you, so that
you know, what development your support has brought about. Hoping
