Mother Teresa is her idol and she has an inherent desire to serve the needy. Meet Mubina Suraiya Khatun, a young and ambitious girl pursuing nursing course from D.Y. Patil University, Mumbai.

Mubina’s father died when she was very young. Unable to take care of her family, her mother married again. Yet she could not manage to meet the expenses of the family. A few years later, she passed away. But Mubina’s strong will was not shattered. She continued her studies as well as took care of her siblings. She joined Smile Foundation’s Navjeevan centre and completed her Class X. Later, she did her Class XII from Sonawane College, Kalyan.

Today, Mubina has come a long way ahead leaving behind her traumatic past. She is now looking forward to a bright future ahead. She has shifted to the ladies hostel at General Nursing College, Nerul.

Her teachers opine that she is very caring and responsible.
