“Children are living beings - more living than grown-up people who have built shells of habit around themselves. Therefore it is absolutely necessary for their mental health and development that they should not have mere schools for their lessons, but a world whose guiding spirit is personal love.”

--- Rabindranath Tagore

Children are important actors in shaping their own development and that of their surroundings. Keeping this in mind, ‘Action for Children’ is geared to ‘Catch them Young’ as they are the best hope for the future of a country. The programme is aimed at inculcating in youngsters a sense of responsibility by empowering them with knowledge and the exposure that would lead to a lifelong concern for the underprivileged.

Kids XL is a school exchange programme where a privileged school is networked with an underprivileged school through special interactive activities. The program is an endeavour to bring two different sections of the society on one platform and strives to imbibe the feelings of togetherness and compassion in the children from the early years of their life.

The aim of KidsXL is to involve children: -

  •   As these young actors play a significant roll in influencing their surroundings-parents, relatives, peers, friends   etc.   And lead in garnering large public support for sustainable development of the society
  •   To communicate with each other and bridge the gap between the children by stimulating them to
  •   To build desirable values, outlook, knowledge and character
  •   To motivate children to act responsibly towards their families and society and become responsible citizens of the   country
How the program works?

The privileged school is networked with an underprivileged school through special interactive activities. These children communicate with the underprivileged about subjects that they are interested in. the children write, draw or talk with each other. They learn about children’s rights but also discover that the needy children are really just children too with their dreams.
