Empowerment through fashion

A workshop in association with Kapowow fashion studio was organized for young girl beneficiaries of Smile. These girls were trained in preparing fashionable necklines for various outfits designed and tailored in the fashion studio. These workshops continued for 2 months continuously. Kapowow offered financial incentives also to these girls. 4 girls out of 10 who were given this training have been employed by the studio itself; they are now regularly engaged with the studio and earn well through their tailoring work. For the others, this has certainly paved a way for their economic empowerment for the future, by giving them an alternative method to earn a livelihood.
