IILM, New Delhi celebrated Girl Child Week with Smile Foundation

“Girl is a dream which parents can cherish for their entire life”. Empowering this feeling IILM New Delhi with Smile Foundation celebrated Girl Child Week on 23, September 2011 at the Shri Ram J.J. Camp, one of the intervention areas of Swabhiman. The students of IILM were accompanied by their faculty Ms. Shipra Jain.

The programme started with a voluntary donation drive at the campus of IILM, New Delhi where the students mobilized 200 stationary drives for the underprivileged beneficiaries of Smile Foundation. They visited Shri Ram J.J. Camp and presented the stationary sets to SHVs under Swabhiman Programme and beneficiaries under Shinnyo-Smile Scholarship programme. The children beneficiaries of Smile Foundation equally participated in this programme.

At the end of the event the students and faculty expressed their pleasure of being able to do something worthwhile for the needy and committed to associate with Smile Foundation for more such initiatives.
