Name of the girl has been changed to protect her identity
When Lalita died, her children felt the trauma in every aspect of their life. Especially her daughter Hetal. The 11 year old suddenly graduated to being the woman of the house. She cooks, cleans, and cares for her younger brother and her increasingly drunken father. Now a helpful aunt is urging Hetal's father to marry her off to a suitable boy in her village.
The answer to that could be YOUR RESPONSE.
Smile Foundation's Mission Education programme has been providing education and nutrition to over 12,500 underprivileged children like Hetal every year since 2002.
But this is just a small step forward. There are 44 million underprivileged children like Hetal who are out-of-school. Not by choice but because of sheer bad luck.
YOU COULD MAKE THEM SMILE.
