latest corporate partner of Smile Foundation. They have joined
hands under the Pay Roll Giving programme of Smile Foundation.
Under this partnership FIS employees will share a part of their
monthly salaries that in turn will be matched by the organization.
This amount will then be sent to Smile Foundation every month
to support its Smile Twin E-Learning Programme (STeP) –
a programme that trains underprivileged adolescents in employable
skills.
At the STeP centres, job market-linked skills in Computer and
English language are imparted to the underprivileged adolescents
in order to suitably prepare them and enhance their prospects
for employability in the fast expanding services and retail sectors
in India.
Besides Computer and English language, the beneficiaries are also
oriented and trained on Basic Retail Management, Basic Communication
Skills, Personality Development and Career Counseling, Gender
Issues, Reproductive and Sexual Health, HIV/AIDS etc.
Smile Foundation currently runs 50 STeP centres across 18 states.
Over 4000 young boys and girls have been trained so far and over
3000 among them have been placed in reputed retail chains and
BPOs.

about the STeP programme among FIS employees.
