Smile children’s Day out
Popular reality show ‘Ek Se Badhkar Ek’ on ZEE TV played host to 65 children and 6 teachers of Smile supported project – Sanskar in Mumbai. The children who were invited to participate as an audience were regaled by the anchor of the show Mr Ravi Kishen, the judges - Mr Abhijeet (singer) and Mr Ahmed Khan (choreographer) and the special guest on the show Mr Jackie Shroff.
The joy of star-struck children knew no bounds when they were invited on stage to share the dais with the celebrities and talk to them. It was a dream cum true for them. Excited, the children clapped and cheered thereafter for all the participants of the show with enthusiasm. The children were also treated to delicious meals. It was a great experience for these children from marginalized section of society and would go a long way in boosting their self-esteem – so essential for a person to do well in life. All the projects under Smile Foundation take special care to ensure that the children not only get training in academics but also useful exposures that promote their holistic development.
The programme was telecast on ZEE TV between 7.30 to 8.30 PM on 28th & 29th June’08.
