How a few Colleagues at Infosys
BPO Made a Big Difference
A few young colleagues at INFOSYS
BPO - BT retail night shift wanted to make a
difference in the society in an innovative
way. After a little discussion there were 130 of them
agreeing to do so. But how to do it?
One fine day, they gathered on their
office floor, unanimous that they just need to take the
first step and begin somewhere. They picked up a slogan
“Individually we are one drop, together we are an
ocean” from a SMILE campaign under
‘You Can Make A Difference’ programme.
Someone threw the idea – “Let’s contribute
Rs. 10 each and thus justify the cause we stand for.”
With compassion to do something good
for the underprivileged children they
stood up for SMILE, without waiting for SMILE to ask for
it. Smile appreciates the commitment displayed
by these youngsters.
The money thus collected will be dedicated
to Smile Foundation’s child education projects
in Bangalore.
You need to take a small step to effect
big changes, indeed!
