Shinnyo-en and Smile Foundation launch Scholarships Programme for Underprivileged

Shinnyo Scholarship Association, under the aegis of Shinnyo-en Japan, joined hands with Smile Foundation to launch a special scholarship programme for underprivileged children in India.

Director, Edification Department, Shinnyo-en Head Temple in Tokyo, Japan Reverend Shuichi Arai signed the partnership agreement. “We are proud to be associated with Smile Foundation. This is a small step towards our future long term partnerships,” he said.

The initial partnership titled ‘Shinnyo Smile Scholarship Programme’ will be a part of Smile’s ongoing programme Individual Support Programme (ISP) where needy and underprivileged children under four different categories are supported.

Under the partnership, Shinnyo-en has given financial grant towards empowerment of underprivileged children through education.
