Smile Foundation introduced social venture philanthropy (SVP) model in the development sector of India way back in 2002. Within half a decade of the journey, the grassroots initiatives nurtured by Smile through its SVP are becoming readymade role models for replication.

The efforts and innovations put in by Smile Foundation to augment and strengthen the capacities of grassroots initiatives are getting recognised at the international level too. Noteworthy of mentioning the recent one, three leading Dutch developmental organisations namely Wild Geese, KidsRights Foundation and Net4Kids have joined hands with Smile to support a programme titled Action for Children which will cover genuine initiatives across India.
