Microsoft: Support with a vision

Microsoft has formally collaborated with Smile Foundation as a funding partner under its corporate social responsibility initiative. Microsoft is supporting ‘Smile Twin e-Learning Projects’ (STeP) which focuses on skills building for employment generation of underprivileged youth, mainly in IT enabled, hospitality and retail sectors.

 

The Rs. 7.12 million Microsoft grant will be utilised by Smile across 16 Indian states for strengthening the ongoing STeP initiative benefiting thousands of underprivileged youth. With the significant and timely support from Microsoft, Smile is planning to expand this programme to cover more youth from the deprived section of the society.

RocSearch: A good beginning in CSR

RocSearch, a fast growing international firm providing research and analytics solutions, begins its corporate social responsibility (CSR) with Smile Foundation.

RocSearch is now part o f a Smile-supported child education project in NOIDA.

David O’Brien, Executive Chairman, RocSearch says, “Flexibility of ideas proves to be a vital element in promoting and sustaining CSR. Corporate houses should concentrate on reviewing existing CSR policies frequently, and try replacing old ideas by ringing in new ones.”

CVENT is the largest online event registration company in USA and a global leader in the field of event management.

CVENT has begun its CSR in India by supporting Smile Foundation through an education project for slum children in Delhi.

LifeLine Hospitals: Committed for Poor in Chennai

LifeLine Multi Speciality Hospitals, Chennai has opened a new chapter in genuine social commitment. The group is supporting Smile on Wheels project in the city, benefiting the most underprivileged population through mobile health care services.

Dr. J. S. Rajkumar, Founder & Chairman of LifeLine Group, has been enthusiastic in extending the support and making Smile on Wheels happen for the needy in Chennai. Dr. Rajkumar himself is a renowned surgeon and a known philanthropist.

 

Canara Bank: health is wealth, so Health with Smile

Canara Bank has set off its CSR initiative with Smile Foundation by supporting a series of health camps under ‘Health with Smile’ programme in various parts of India.

Canara Bank Mumbai and Canara Bank Kolkata have already conducted one camp each in their respective regions focusing on the underprivileged children and women.

Going a step forward, senior officials from the bank including divisional managers and general managers have got themselves involved in conducting these camps.
